Somen noodles

Do you know Somen noodles?


Somen noodles are very thin white noodles made from wheat flour.


It is eaten cold after being dipped in a special sauce.


It's also very easy to make.


Just boil for 2 minutes.




After 2 minutes, put it in a colander and rinse with running water to cool.



When the noodles have cooled sufficiently, put them in a bowl with ice and serve them.


I usually add sesame and sliced green onion in the soup.


The soup is called Mentsuyu and can be bought at supermarkets.






I add boiled eggplant and sea chicken to change the taste of the sauce.


Cut 2 eggplants and boil them.


Mix with sea chicken and season with 1tbsp of soy sauce.




If you mix this, the taste will be rich and delicious.



Somen noodles are mainly eaten in summer.



In winter, we eat somen noodles with hot sauce.


It has a different name when eaten with hot sauce.


The one that is served hot is called Nyu-men.
